A Business  administration student of  Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo, 
identified as Kunbi reportedly received a phone call from a private 
security guard, identified simply as Aliu, who lives on same street with
 him, to come collect the  N32,000 he owed him.<br />
Kunbi<em> </em>who owned a provision store and was also preparing for 
his wedding in December had sold his motorcycle to Aliu, in order to 
raise money to pay his school fees, about a month ago.<br />

However, after Kunbi visited Aliu, no one heard from him again. Members 
of his family conducted a search for him through out Thursday night.<br />

The following day, the search party found  the lifeless body of 
Kunbi around 9am  on  Friday behind Aliu’s compound, throwing the entire
 community into mourning.  A source said the victim’s five fingers was 
missing while marks of violence were apparent all over his body. There 
also a  rope tied round his neck, which suggested that he could have 
been strangled.<br />
<br />
Aliu and five other suspects have since been arrested by the police in connection with the incident.<br />
<br />
According to eyewitness reports, Aliu was allegedly seen fetching water 
from Kunbi’s compound early Friday morning.  The number of times he 
fetched water reportedly arouse the curiosity of  residents,  who asked 
him what he was doing with the unusual volume of water he was fetching. 
When they weren't satisfied with his explanation, some of the 
residents,forced their way into his apartment, where they allegedly 
discovered blood stains all over the place.<br />

The suspect was said to have been using the water to clean up the blood 
stains in his apartment to avoid been identified as Kunbi's killer.<br />
One eyewitness said:<br />

“When we searched through Kunbi’s telephone, which he left while he 
rushed to answer the call of death last night (Thursday), we discovered 
that the last caller was Aliu. When confronted at first, Aliu denied 
seeing him, insisting rather that a search team be raised to look for 
him.</blockquote>

What gave him away was the blood stain that was trailed, right from 
where Kunbi’s body was dumped, to Aliu’s apartment.  We also saw a white
 cloth stained with blood, on the floor and the key of Kunbi’s shop in 
Aliu’s apartment.  When he discovered that the game was up, he pleaded 
that we should not kill him and disclosed that the plan to kill Kunbi 
was hatched by his friends”.</blockquote>
At about 1pm, on Friday, Policemen, from Alonge Oworo Division, arrived 
the scene with the suspects, and where taken to the crime scene. Despite
 the Police being there,angry residents attempted to lynch Aliu but they
 fired tear gas into the crowd to stop the crowd.<br />

Spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, Joe Offor, a Deputy 
Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident, adding that 
investigation was still ongoing.<br />

His death has apparently been confirmed by Sunni Islamic jihadist 
militants the al-Nusra Front - his wing of Al-Qaeda within Syria.<br />

It is not yet clear how exactly he died, although it is believed he was killed by Syrian and Russian armed forces.<br />

justification for his decision to launch air strikes on the war-torn 
country in support of embattled Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad and his

Another lawyer echoed the sentiment. “We had protested to the President of Court of Appeal to replace the judge. He was a poor judge,” he said. After learning about the replacement of Justice Pindiga, Mr. Wike’s lawyers launched a feeble protest, criticizing the reconstitution of the tribunal. However, their protest was silenced when they were told that the governor’s bribe to the removed judge had been exposed. </em></div>

Four Female suicide bombers lost their lives in a failed attempt to bomb

governorship election tribunal sitting in Abuja, which showed clear bias
 against Governor Nyesom Wike and the PDP, as completely bizarre, 
unacceptable and part of the script by the APC to manipulate the will of
 the people.</div>

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in a statement <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1401239371" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">on Saturday</span></span>
 said indications to this spurious judgment had months ago been hinted 
to the PDP, which in turn, alerted the nation and the international 
community of the heinous plot by the APC government, to use the 
judiciary and various security agencies to reverse the victory of the 
PDP in Rivers, Delta, Akwa-Ibom, Taraba and Abia states.</div>

“We
 invite Nigerians and the international community to recall various 
reprehensible steps taken by the APC government that culminated in this 
ruling as well as the ridiculous <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1401239372" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">Wednesday’s</span></span> verdict of the Akwa-Ibom state governorship election tribunal, also sitting in Abuja.</div>

1. The curious and controversial relocation of the elections tribunals from their states to Abuja without any justification.<br />2.
 The constant juggling of judicial officers and members of governorship 
elections tribunal in PDP states, especially, Rivers and Akwa-Ibom 
states.<br />3. Constant harassment of judicial and electoral officers 
involved in the governorship election cases in these state, using 
agencies of government, particularly, the Directorate of State Services 
(DSS) under the direct command of a known APC member, Alhaji Lawal 
Daura.<br />4. Constant threats, intimidation and coercing of witnesses against the PDP in the tribunals.<br />5.
 The recent mass transfer of security operatives, especially the DSS and
 police personnel that actually participated in the conduct of the 
elections in Rivers and Akwa-Ibom, ostensibly to frustrate the course of
 genuine evidences in the process.</div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.32px; margin: 6px 0px;">
“The
 bias in the judgment against the PDP in Rivers as well as Akwa-Ibom is 
evidenced in the contradictions inherent in the trial process of the two
 cases and the verdicts therein, whereby the tribunals clearly 
disregarded standing legal norm that a petitioner must establish prove 
of claims.</div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.32px; margin: 6px 0px;">
“Also
 curious is the fact that after both the petitioner and respondent 
agreed before the tribunal that both card reader and manual 
accreditations were used for the election, the tribunal still went ahead
 to base its decision on issues of card reader.</div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.32px; margin: 6px 0px;">
While
 it is convenient to them to use legal technicalities to deny PDP 
victory in Imo, Lagos, Ogun and Yobe states, the same rules are 
misapplied to wickedly favour APC petitioners in Rivers and Akwa-Ibom 
states.</div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.32px; margin: 6px 0px;">
“It
 is therefore evinced that these contradictions are direct fall-out of 
compromises as well as boasts by the APC of being in direct and remote 
control of the tribunals. If not, how can one explain the fact that 
while governorship elections are being upturned in PDP states, in APC 
states, where similar claims and facts are in contention, elections are 
being upheld.</div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.32px; margin: 6px 0px;">
“Further
 proof of bias by the Rivers tribunal is the fact that less than 24 
hours after various counsels submitted nine written addresses and 
documents, the tribunal rushed its notice of judgment, an action 
ostensibly aimed at ambushing the pending Supreme Court action on the 
issue of jurisdiction regarding the relocation of the tribunal outside 
River state, which was due to be delivered <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1401239373" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">on Tuesday</span></span>.</div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.32px; margin: 6px 0px;">
“This
 is not withstanding the fact that the tribunal has up to seven days 
after of receipt of addresses, to deliver its judgment, but chose 
instead, to rush to deliver this spurious verdict even on a <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1401239374" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">Saturday</span></span>,
 a development eliciting suspicion that the judgment may have since been
 predetermined and written even before the commencement of the case.</div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.32px; margin: 6px 0px;">
“The
 PDP calls on all Nigerians and the international community to note this
 growing manipulation of the judiciary by the APC government, a factor 
which portends great danger to our democracy and the stability of our 
country.</div>

“Nigerians
 would want to recall that under the PDP-led government with former 
President Goodluck Jonathan’s commitment to the tenets of democracy as 
encapsulated in the safeguard of ‘one man one vote’ and the independence
 of the judiciary, the PDP conceded electoral defeat in Edo, Anambra, 
and Imo states without attempting to collect victory through executive 
manipulation of the judicial process.</div>

“The
 PDP restates unequivocally that this judgments must not stand in view 
of the prevailing inherent contradictions, in addition to the huge 
threat they portend to our democracy and national stability.</div>

“Finally,
 the PDP charges all lovers of democracy, particularly our members in

reassure that the PDP will do all within the ambit of the law to resist 
this criminal attempt by the APC to steal and thwart the will of the 
people.</div>

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described Saturday’s judgement 
of the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal that 
overturned the election of Gov. Nyesom Wike of the PDP as a deadly body 
blow to impunity and hooliganism.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Saturday by its National Publicity 
Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the judgement has shown 
clearly that the era of impunity and hooliganism is over, and that the 
only way for elections to have legitimacy is for them to be free, fair 
and credible.<br />

 ”What has come across from this judgement is that there is no shortcut 
to free, fair and credible elections. This is part of the wind of change
 that is blowing across the land and touching all arms of government 
under the Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

”Elections are about the expression of the will of the people, and they 
must always be free to express themselves, irrespective of what some 
desperate politicians may feel,” it said.

APC said politicians, especially those seeking or occupying elective 
office, must realize that they can only derive their legitimacy from the
 people, and that unless they respect the wishes of the people, they 
will not go far.<br />

The party hailed its governorship candidate in Rivers, Mr. Dakuku 
Peterside, for his doggedness and strong conviction in the pursuit of 
his petition against the election of Wike that was not only marred by 
widespread violence and electoral malfeasance, but also acknowledged to 
be so by local and international observers – and now by the judiciary.

It urged all APC members and supporters in the state to remain peaceful,
 even in the face of provocation by those who are now realizing, to 
their chagrin, that there is always a limit to everything, including 
impunity and hooliganism.

The Rivers state election petition tribunal sitting in Port Harcourt, 
Rivers state today nullified Governor Nyesom Wike's election.  The 
tribunal led by Justice Ambusa said the April 11 2015 election which 
brought Wike to power was marred by election fraud and violence. He 
ordered for a rerun election. The petition challenging Wike's election 
was filed by APC candidate, Dukuku Petersid.<br />

According to an explosive new biography of Beyonce, she split with Jay-z
 for about a year in 2005, the same year he scouted Rihanna. His PR 
people spread news he was seeing Rihanna but it was all rumours, planned in order to increase Riri's profile ahead of her
 forthcoming album, Pon-De-Replay.<br />

It didn't go down well with queen Bey
 and she split from Jay-z whom she had been dating since 2001. The 
astonishing claim comes in a new unauthorized biography by best-selling 
writer J Randy Taraborrelli titled Becoming Beyoncé: The Untold Story.<br />
Describing the alleged split, he said: 'Beyoncé didn't know what to make
 of this, and it actually ended up breaking them up for a time. They 
spent maybe a year apart from each other because Beyoncé just wasn't 
sure of what to make of the situation with Rihanna.'<br />

But he adds: 'It's safe to say that Rihanna and Beyonce are friends.'<br />
<br />
According to Taraborrelli's theory, the split would have been around 
2005, when Pon De Replay was released. At that time Jay Z was 35, 
Beyoncé 24, and Rihanna 17.<br />
 He also addressed the notorious spat of May 2014, when Beyoncé's sister 
Solange was caught on surveillance camera lashing out at Jay Z in the 
elevator of New York's Standard Hotel after the Met Gala.<br />

After a surveillance video of the incident made it's way on the internet
 without audio, many wondered what caused Beyoncé's 29-year-old sister 
to violently attack the Jay-z. The author spoke to several individuals 
who are close to Beyoncé, and claimed he has heard from eyewitnesses 
that the Drunk In Love singer told Jay he could not attend Rihanna's 
after party at the Met Gala.<br />

The author added: 'I think it's safe to say
 the only people who know for sure what happened are Bey, Jay, Solange 
and the bodyguard who were in the elevator.'<br />
 The author also alleges that Beyoncé has anyone looking after her 
three-year-old daughter Blue Ivy must sign a contract titled 'Daily 
Program for Blue Ivy as Per Mrs. Carter.'<br />

Taraborrelli explained: 'If you are a nanny coming into her household, 
and you think you are going to just raise Blue Ivy the way you want to, 
that's not gonna happen.<br />
'Beyoncé has sort of an agreement, a structure of how she wants her child to be raised and you have to adhere to this.<br />
 The Single Ladies hitmaker has allegedly only had two boyfriends in her 
life, Jay Z and Lyndell Locke, who she was in a nine year relationship

husband, Jose  Vargas Rosario, 35 and their toddler son Brayden Vargas,

stationary vehicle at Altamonte springs, Florida, killing her son and

When she was given the 
devastating news in hospital, she said she could not recall having a 
baby and was not sure she was married. 'She was informed of the passing 
of her husband and her son. She does not remember the crash, and at that
 time did not remember the family members either,' Altamonte Springs 
Police Lieutenant Rob Pelton said.<br />
 Temporary amnesia can be triggered by serious brain injuries - often 
caused in car crashes - as well as by psychological damage. Sufferers 
usually regain their memory after a few days, however this recovery can 
take months. Some people never fully regain their memory. One can only 
imaging her agony when she comes around.<br />
 Police said a car driven by 
Cyndia Guthrie, 75, collided with vehicles waiting at a red light last 
Friday morning. Investigators said the woman did not apply her brakes 
before she slammed into the back of the family's gold Kia.<br />
<br />
Officers are not yet sure why the woman failed to stop. No charges have been filed at this stage.

About 17 people have been confirmed dead and 73 others injured after a 
bomb ripped through a mosque in Jambutu area in Yola, Adamawa state this
 afternoon. Many of the Muslim faithfuls were leaving the mosque just 
after their Friday prayers when the incident happened. This blast comes 
hours after a similar incident occurred at a mosque in Maiduguri killing
 28 people. Most of the injured are in critical condition and have been 
moved to the federal medical centre, Yola. The state governor has called
 for blood donation for the injured.<br />

Supporters
 of the Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu were on Tuesday 
arrested by the Anambra State police command at various parts in Awka as
 they protested the arrest of Mr. Kanu.<br />

The protesters, including women, carried placards with various 
inscriptions, marched from Amawbia to the Government House, demanding 
that Kanu be left alone.<br />

However, as they approached Government House, the police men stationed 
at the place fired into the air and threw teargas canisters to disperse 
the crowd.<br />
Another group protesting at the Arroma junction was also arrested by the police.<br />
Anambra State coordinator of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. 
Ikechukwu Okoye said their protest was not meant to cause any trouble, 
adding that they were only on the streets to ask DSS to release Kanu.<br />
According to him, the protesters were marching to the Government House 
to plead with Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano to prevail on 
President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene on the matter.<br />
He said:<br />

“We are only agitators who obey the laws of the land. This is democracy and there is freedom of speech and freedom of movement.</blockquote>

“Why would anybody detain our leader and in the process be demanding 
bail fee of N2million. We have not come to fight anybody because we are 
peace makers”</blockquote>
Anmabra State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hosea Karma, confirmed the 
arrest of the protesters, saying it was because they were parading along
 the Enugu-Onitsha expressway thereby causing breach of peace.<br />

“There is nothing like Indigenous People of Biafra. Those people 
constituted nuisance on the high way and that was why they were picked.</blockquote>

“Right now, I do not know the number of people that were picked, but I

exists in this state will not go unpunished.”</blockquote>
Meanwhile, the factional leadership of the Movement for the 
Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has lent support
 to the Radio Biafra director.<br />
In a press statement made available to reporters in Awka yesterday, the 
national director of information of the breakaway MASSOB, Mr Uchenna 
Madu said it was identifying with Kanu in the spirit of brotherhood 
pursuing one strong force for self determination.<br />

Justin Trudeau, the son of late Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, became 
Canada's new prime minister after his Liberal Party won a majority of 
Parliament's 338 seats on Monday.<br />
Trudeau is tall, 6'2 and trim and at 43, channels the star power, if not
 quite the political heft, of his father, who swept to power in 1968 as 
the Prime Minister.<br />
His late father, who took office in 1968 and led Canada for most of the 
next 16 years, is a storied name in Canadian history, responsible for 
the country's version of the bill of rights.<br />
His father, Pierre Trudeau, who was prime minister until 1984 with a 
short interruption, remains one of the few Canadian politicians known in
 America, his charisma often drawing comparisons to John F. Kennedy. His
 father was a bachelor when he became prime minister, he dated actresses
 Barbra Streisand and Kim Cattrall.<br />
 Justin Trudeau, a former school teacher and member of Parliament since 
2008, becomes the second youngest prime minister in Canadian history.<br />
Trudeau, who has re-energized the Liberal Party since its devastating 
electoral losses four years ago, promises to raise taxes on the rich and
 run deficits for three years to boost government spending. <br />
Justin is married  to Sophie Grégoire with 3 kids. Trudeau first met 
Sophie Grégoire when they were both children growing up in Montreal, as 
Grégoire was a classmate and childhood friend of Trudeau's youngest 
brother, Michel<sup>.</sup><br />
<sup>They reconnected as adults in June 2003, when Grégoire, by then a Quebec
 television personality, was assigned as Trudeau's co-host for a charity
 ball; they began dating several months later.  </sup><br />
<br />Trudeau and Grégoire became engaged in October 2004 and married on May 
28, 2005, in a Catholic ceremony at Montreal's Sainte-Madeleine 
d'Outremont Church.<br />
They have three children: daughter Ella-Grace Margaret (born February 
2009) and sons Xavier James (born October 2007) and Hadrien (born

The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Hassan Kukah, has called 
on Nigerians not to put all their hopes in President Buhari, stressing 
that the war against corruption is not the only item that will enhance 
the life of Nigerians. According to Bishop Kukah, the inclusion of a 
culture of entrenchment and protection of social justice and the rule of

of the disease of the distortion of our nationhood. We may have a

President Jonathan, we need institutions that can save voters from the

institutional capacity to recruit the future leaders and we must create 
opportunities for young Nigerians to rise to the highest office in the

After issuing two failed warnings to Boko Haram members, the Nigerian 
military today issued its third and "final" warning to the sect members 
to stop all terrorist activities in Nigeria and also release the Chibok 
girls. The new warning is contained in a statement released and signed 
by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Sani Usman. The
