He explained that any bill that the Federal Government wants to sponsor will go to the Senate through the Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the Federation and since the Sharia Bill is a private bill it cannot necessarily be enforced on all Nigerians.</div>

Shedding more light on the issue, which appears to be giving Christian leaders some concern, Osinbajo said, “In the first instance Sharia is in the Constitution and it is only applicable to Muslims. Secondly, it would require the amendment of the 1999 Constitution before any law could become binding on all Nigerians.”</div>

A 35 years old Russian vet by the name of Vladimir Sidorov saw red when he walked in on his best friend and wife having sex. Nigerians who typically buy huge volumes of luxury goods such as gold and assorted jewelries and wristwatches as well as clothes, fabrics, shoes , other accessories and electronics, are cutting down on their expenses as a result of the economic downturn, dollar scarcity and high air fares.

Chaouch explained that between the months of September and November, the fashion outfit buys clothes in bulk, in anticipation of the influx of Nigerians who come in to shop for the festive period. He said that has not been the case this year, as Nigerians are nowhere to be found in the numbers that they used to come, leading to a sharp drop in demand.

Pascual explained that Nigerians often bought accessories in large quantities but there has been a sharp drop in sales of accessories this year because only few Nigerians have been visiting recently and those who come do not buy as much as they used to.

The Dubai attraction has lost its shine as Nigerians now struggle at the airports to get dollars to travel unlike before when they could easily travel with the cards and shop in over 200 countries around the world. As a BusinessDay reporter prepared to travel to Dubai on November 1, she noticed at least two people cancelled their flights because they could not get dollars at the rate of N385 from Travelex, as against N468 in the black market after waiting for over nine hours on the queue.

While the bilateral trade volume between Nigeria and UAE increased to $857 million in 2009 from $106 million in 2004, the volume which surged to almost $1 billion in the first quarter of 2015, has dwindled to to less than $900 million on the account of economic downturn in Nigeria resulting in high cost of foreign exchange and airfare spike. Before now, Dubai, which accounts to over 80 percent of the Nigerian-UAE trade volume, hosted over 300,000 Nigerian visitors annually, 60 percent of whom were holiday makers, 30 percent for business, while education and healthcare shared the remaining 10 percent, according to the data from Dubai Tourism. Ibrahim Auwalu, Nigeria’s Ambassador to the UAE, disclosed that about 90 percent of the trade between both countries is informal and fueled by over 300,000 Nigerians who spend more than $110 million (N18 billion) annually on UAE visas. Besides holiday packages, most traded items by Nigerians include: gold, jewelry, fabric, shoes and other fashion accessories. However, with the economic downturn, less than 200,000 Nigerians have visited Dubai in the last 10 months. Confirming the dwindling number of visitors from this country to the UAE, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority noted that total passenger traffic at Nigerian international airports declined by 6.9 percent in the first quarter of 2016 (Q1’16) and 0.5 percent in second quarter (Q2’16). The figure is expected to decline further if the economic downturn persists. Furthermore, the surge of Nigerians to buy properties in Dubai has reduced by almost 40 percent. According to First Group, Dubai’s leading property developer, with the intensified fight against corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), a lot of their would-be Nigerian clients are scared of buying properties in Dubai now, even those who made genuine money. A source in the company said that a Nigerian celebrity from Lagos who made a 40 percent initial payment for an N800 million three-unit property in Dubai last year has not made further payment since then because of the forex limitations, as the property is priced in dollars. The site's source however said that despite the economic downturn, Nigeria still leads other African countries in ownership of choice properties in Dubai, with over 500 properties and business partnerships.

At the raid on High Court 9, the gunmen carted away a refrigerator, three stabilizers, set of computer, window blinds and left behind empty bottles of drinks. At the Upper Area Court, the gunmen reportedly carted away N280,000. Confirming the incident, state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Moses Yamu, said three security guards had already been interrogated, adding that the force would apprehended the suspects and bring them to book.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, has disclosed that the Federal government may sell the three refineries located in Kaduna, Warri and Port Harcourt after they have been fixed and dimmed operationally efficient. The minister further explained that apart from this, there were other issues that could determine the final decision of the government on the refineries; the labour issues, for example, are some of the issues that must be addressed if such proposal would sail through. He noted that the government has thought out other possible means of getting the refineries back to full productivity adding that the government would be shopping for investors who are willing to invest money and competence in the refineries:

A British Airways pilot, Captain Colin Glover, 51 has been suspended by the Airline company after the Sun UK revealed photos showing him allegedly masturbating and reading pornographic magazines while piloting at 38,000 feet. 
 
Captain Glover, who wore stockings in the photos while pleasuring himself in the Boeing 777 plane, has denied he's in the person in the photos pleasuring himself mid-flight. In one of the photos, the pilot's leg are sprawled over the dashboard while the plane appears to be on autopilot with the co-pilot’s seat empty while in another, an airman spreads his stocking-clad legs over the joystick while revealing his naked self. 
Another photo shows a porn magazine spread around the cockpit and judging from the serial numbers on the control panel  of the plane, it's easy to deduce that the pictures were taken aboard at least two separate British Airways planes. Some airline experts suggest there's the possibility the photos where taken in a simulator plane not a plane carrying passengers. 
Aircraft expert Chris Yates said to Sun UK:

The Central Bank of Nigeria as warned Nigerians to desist from investing into MMM. Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has cautioned that elections would not be free and fair under the current leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The governor, who spoke on a radio programme in Akure, said the Federal Government’s action has demonstrated that the people’s votes would no longer count in elections. Tiffany Martinez who shared the story on a blogpost titled 'Academia, Love Me Back' said she was humiliated and that the issue is indicative of a larger problem. According to her, her last name and appearance instill stereotyping even before she utters any word.

Therefore, I do not always feel safe when I attempt to advocate for my people in these spaces,' she said.</blockquote>
Martinez further stated that the comment from her professor made her question her work which caused her to spend the entire class going through the paper which knew she didn't plagiarize. She said she now questions her career path which is to become a professor. <blockquote class="tr_bq" style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">
"It is worth repeating how my professor assumed I could not use the word “hence,” a simple transitory word that connected two relating statements. The professor assumed I could not produce quality research. The professor read a few pages that reflected my comprehension of complex sociological theories and terms and invalidated it all. I am hurting because for a brief moment I believed them,' she wrote in the blogpost."</blockquote>
The university has reacted to the story saying the case is currently under investigation.

A 40- year-old man, Victor Emafolomi, has been arrested by men of Ogun State Police Command for impregnating his 15-year-old step daughter. The suspect, who lives on Olokosusi Street, Java Agbado in Ifo Local Government Area of the state, was said to have been arrested following a complaint from his wife, who is the mother of the said girl.
