<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I'm not against beauty pageant if it is well organized, but my bitter heart goes against unprofessional way of organizing such event, most especially in Kogi state.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Check the car above. Igala kingdom is one of the strongest kingdom in Niger Area during pre-colonial era, base on history. And also, the majority tribe in Kogi State. </span><br />

Bello,<br />Let me wish your excellency a new year of fulfillment of your heart desires, and being the driver of the fortune vehicle of Logo state, I also wish you and the entire citizens of our great state a prosperous year devoid of labour / government rancour; but improved communal relations and a divinely inspired leadership of hope and transparent responsibility.</div>

I have so many things to tell your excellency, but I also realise you cannot afford to give me your audience for too long. So I will be brief but blunt.</div>

Your excellency, the year 2017 is very critical in the sustenance of continual faith of the citizens in your leadership. Consequently, your government cannot afford the indulgent recklessness that besets players in the power corridor. The year 2017 your excellency is a period when there can be no space for mentally lazy aides and cabinet members. The citizens are groaning under debilitating economic adversities. Quite unfortunately, all these at a time of dwindling common wealth and resources.</div>

It is obvious therefore that your government need a think tank cabinet of unusually creative minds. Old ways and wisdom therefore has no space at this period of an exigency. The exigency being an almost totally eroded trust between the government and the governed.</div>

In my consultations of history books and antecedent, I discovered the need for your government to present three focal programs to the people of our great state within the next 21days.<br />These programs must as a matter of urgency address firstly, the widespread comatose state of the workers personal finances. Second, your government should look inwards into the agriculture and solid minerals to generate 50,000 quality employment in the state. Thirdly, your government must work ever more closely with the local government councils to reduce the gap between it and the citizens. At this period of economic despair, a listening and accessible prince is a loved prince.</div>

Beyond these your excellency, I observed too many sychophants around the seat of power. From ancient times courtiers have employed sycophancy and a prince takes their words to heart at his own peril. I appeal to your excellency to find a discerning mind to insulate yourself from their influences.</div>

Thank you, your excellency for the pains to pay off some owed wages at the waning days of last year. But, it is not yet Uhuru. I read around that government has paid everything owed workers. Yet there are grumblings to the contrary. Propaganda when misused has a far more devastating effect of mistrust which open cracks for mischief makers.</div>

<u>ASKING KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT THE RIGHT QUESTIONS</u></div>

Late last year, the government of Kogi alleged it has ended the 10 months old screening excercise it embarked on, with the assurance to publish the report that will contain the list of cleared (genuine) civil servant, the list of the ghost workers caught and the problem list with individual problems highlighted before each names .</div>

The governor also went ahead to promise in a radio programme BELLO AT YOUR SERVICE that for the problem list, the door is still open to them to clear their names and get paid. But till this moment, no list has been released.</div>

We all lauded this move of the government to rid our state of criminal elements, but the duration with which the exercises lasted shows how incompetent Okala and his team are, putting the government and the governor into disrepute with the people who believed in him, the project and his administration in the first place.</div>

Many questions are begging for answers</div>

1) why is the government delaying in releasing the final report of the screening committee since last year?</div>

2) From our independent survey carried out,<br />20% received full salaries,<br />20% received part and<br />60% claims it had not received a penny.<br />can the government beat its chest and say OKALA and his team have done an excellent job?</div>

3) When will majority of TSC staff, especially teachers from schools like Government Day secondary school, Adankolo be paid? When will the remaining pensioners be paid etc? What happens to the civil servants who are claiming they are genuine? do we just throw them away? what happens if they are actually genuine?</div>

The state government should be very careful not to make the mistakes Late Prince Abubakar Audu of blessed memory made by toying with civil servants, a mistake that cost him his second term , despite his popularity and acceptability, the civil servant still triumphed, 2019 is just around the corner.</div>

The government should know that justice delayed, is justice denied. if it is sacking people, let it boldly come out and state the reasons and then pay severance allowances, instead of hiding under the guise of publishing reports in newspapers, a act people see as delay tactics, the people are wiser haven discovered that their destinies lies in their thumb prints.</div>
