Egypt
were held to a 1-1 drawn by Morocco in the 2018 African Nations Championship
(CHAN) qualifiers played at the weekend.
At the Stade Général-Seyni-Kountché in the
capital city of Niger,Niamey, the host team Niger recorded a narrow 2-1 victory over Ivory
Coast.

Mama Seibou scored from the penalty spot with four minutes left to put Benin
Republic in the driving seat of their 2018 African Nations Championship
qualifying fixture against Nigeria.
Seibou
stepped up to slot past Eagles' goalkeeper and Captain Ikechukwu Ezenwa after
centre back Hafeez Aremu fumbled with the ball under pressure and eventually
brought down a Beninoise forward.
The
host team dominated proceedings in the first half, stringing passes together
brilliantly and constantly putting the Nigerian defence under pressure.
Despite
the efforts put in by the Nigerian lads, it was Benin that had the breakthrough
with the penalty award four minutes to the end.

Ethiopia rallied to hold Sudan 1-1 in the 2018 Kenya CHAN first leg last round
qualifying tie at Hawassa International Stadium, Ethiopia.
