Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is on the verge of signing for Galatasaray, according to reports in Turkey.
The Belgian international has often been a derided figure among Red Devils supporters after joining in 2013 from Everton.
United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to add further options to his midfield before the summer transfer window closes, with Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic expected to arrive at Old Trafford.
Matic’s potential signature would leave Fellaini further down the pecking order, which has led the 29-year-old to seek a move away from the Europa League winners.
Galatasaray’s sporting director Cenk Ergun confirmed the Turkish club’s interest in the player and it is claimed Fellaini has agreed a five-year deal with the Super Lig side.
