It was a sudden burst of feeling yesterday, 13 December, 2016, when it was discover that MMM has froze all Nigerian's account because the number of people that want to cash out exceed the number of people that want to invest in the scheme. It was widely fear that they might be a case of suicide attempt.
Well, According to Newsroom, one Mr Adakole of Ai Okpe in Okpokwu local government area of Benue State, reportedly threw his wedding money into the scheme expecting 30% returns.
Daily Trust earlier reported that the said man had invested money meant for his wedding, totalling N300,000, in the scheme.

Upon realising that his investment and the 30 per cent interest expected would not arrive in time for his wedding, the man opted to take his life as he reportedly consumed insecticide.
The publication quoted a friend of Adakole as saying he is battling for his life at a clinic in Otukpo where the incident occurred. His fiancée who resides in Abuja, had been contacted.He had called the friend to confirm if truly the scheme had crashed as widely suggested yesterday before attempting to take his life.Many have warned of the impact a possible MMM crash would have on most participants who have invested almost all of their life savings in the scheme.Following the decision to freeze participants’ accounts yesterday, MMM continues to stress it has not crashed, and would resume as promised in January.
