Ahmad Salkida, a Nigerian journalist known for his access to Boko Haram commanders, was declared wanted in August 2016 by the Nigerian Army in connection with the abducted Chibok girls and the terrorist group. Salkida who has extensively covered the conflict between the government and Boko Haram, released an exclusive video sent to him, which he said confirmed that the Chibok girls were alive but some died in recent airstrikes. Salkida, who was on exile in the UAE, responded to the army, saying he'll return if they provide a ticket for him. (Read here). He has now been arrested.
