Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to the announcement by Islamic State Jihadist group, ISIS, that it has
replaced Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, with Abu Musab al-Barnawi, previous spokesman for the sect.
“Nigeria is in a mess. If it is not Boko Haram that is slaughtering our people it is the Fulani herdsmen. They are doing these despicable things with the active connivance and support of a few people that are in the corridors of power today whose objective it is to islamize our nation.
“The bible says ‘there is no fellowship between light and darkness’. We have said it before and we will say it again: “If we fail to do so we must reconsider our so- called unity. If things don’t change quickly we must consider the possibility of peacefully dividing our country and renegotiating our union.”
The former presidential spokesman added: “We cannot afford to wait any longer because we are
playing with fire. We must do everything peacefully and we must not allow these butchers to provoke us into another civil war”.
